When renovating a kitchen, the designers at Inner Circle Concepts, LLC know how to ask the right questions about your lifestyle to ensure that our design is as user-friendly as it is stylish. For example, there are special considerations we can make for families with small children. Here are some ways our designers can customize your remodeled kitchen to fit your family.
If you have small children (or pets for that matter), a built-in pocket gate can serve its purpose without being an eye soar or scratching up your walls like traditional baby gates do.
As your kids grow up, you want to start tasking them with chores that will instill a sense of responsibility. Deep storage drawers like these can be placed next to the dishwasher, so your kids can easily help with setting and clearing the dinner table as well as loading and unloading the dishwasher.
Self-reliance is another skill parents want to teach their children, so our designers can create spaces that allow your kids to serve themselves. Low pantry storage for food items like cereal and a beverage cooler stocked with juice boxes and other kid-friendly drinks can help your little people grow up to be independent.
While the kitchen is a gathering space for the whole family, there are times you don't want your munchkins under foot. Consider kitchen island designs that keep the kids away from your food prep and cooking stations - either a long island with seating all along the far side or a U-shaped island with a built-in nook.
The refrigerator has traditionally been the shrine for your kids' art, but how 'bout a whole wall? We could create a chalk board, art display, magnet board or a combo there of. If you don't have a wall quite this big to dedicate to an activity area, our designers have plenty of other ways to make this idea work for you.
